What are atheists' funerals like?
What are atheists' funerals like?

So many thoughts from the commentators here. I’ll throw my insights in and hope they help.
Funerals
are for the living to honor or remember the deceased. They are the
tangible, outward expression of the impact the deceased had on their
loved ones, family and friends. A funeral should be conducted to include
the beliefs (or lack thereof), memories, and desire of the deceased and
their families.
Athesist
funerals, in my experience, aren’t that much different than a religious
one. The ones I’ve seen included someone acting a facilitator and
songs, stories, videos, photos and memorabilia that tell the story of
the deceased.
Some
families opt to cremate and then have a party somewhere else. Some
choose to bury the deceased at a simple graveside service and then call
it good.
The overarching theme here in all of these services is coming together and taking care of the deceased.
why do funeral homes use pink lights?
why do funeral homes use pink lights?

Jennifer Pennell, Funeral Director
Living
people have a pink color to their skin because of the blood that is
circulating through their bodies. When a person dies, gravity pulls that
blood to the lowest point, draining it away from the surface of their
skin. Funeral directors use a variety of tactics to mimic the appearance
of life. While embalming, blood is forced out of the body and replaced
with embalm fluid. That fluid is tinted with pink dye to help add color
back to the skin as the fluid is dispersed. Cosmetics also contain pink
tints for the same purpose. The pink lights in the chapels help to
enhance these efforts.

The deadliest disease ever has been around for at least 20 million years.
It
may have killed Alexander the Great, King Tut and at least six popes.
Some sources claim that almost half of all humans that ever lived have
been killed by it.
What is the name of this murderous menace? Malaria.
Malaria
is a mosquito-borne infectious disease that affects both humans and
other animals. Some mosquitos carry a parasitic protozoan of the genus Plasmodium. This is the killer.
Mosquitos are the vector, the carrier. If we look at mosquitos as a bomber, then Plasmodium is the bomb.
** The deadly culprit
There are five species of the parasite that cause the disease. Of these, Plasmodium falciparum
is the most deadly. According to the 2018 world malaria report, there
were 219 million cases of malaria in 2017. From this number 435,000
infected people died.
Approximately 70% of malaria deaths occurred in children age 5 or younger.
** The good news is that the number of deaths has decreased in recent years.
