Why does a great guitar solo just grab you by the soul and shake your very existence?
How is it possible for an instrument to cause you to feel such strong emotions?
A huge part is actually the guitar's ability to resemble a human voice.
The voice is the ultimate melody maker. As humans, we connect to it.
Your brain recognizes a guitar solo as a voice, and your brain gets hijacked into feeling a certain way.
This is why you feel strong emotions when you hear your favourite solo!
As an instrument, a voice is perfect. The ability to bend notes and shake them with vibrato has created a sound humans have considered musical for thousands of years.
Vibrato is an easy way for you to make a guitar sing!
Piano players always envy us guitarists when it comes to vibrato! They may have 10 fingers to chord with, but we can make our instrument sing.
In [THIS LESSON] I break down the 3 types of vibrato commonly seen on the guitar.
If you know Campfire Guitar Star, you know that we use songs to teach techniques.
Get ready to learn some Eric Clapton, BB King, and David Gilmour!
Let's make that guitar sing!
Thanks for checking out the lesson! I hope you're shakin' those notes just like BB King.
