After six long months of no tourists and billions of rands in lost revenue, South Africa is finally welcoming tourists back – except from countries with a high Covid-19 count.
How this new-found freedom unfolds depends on each and every one of us. Our behaviour at restaurants, tourists spots and accommodation will determine whether our borders remain open. If the infection rate surges again we face a potential second lockdown and South Africa definitely won’t survive that.
Let’s be responsible, not only for our health but in consideration of those who have lost everything during lockdown.
On a more positive note, you can travel overseas again! Have you started planning a cross-border trip yet? Or are you a little hesitant to travel still? We’d love to hear from you, so let us know.
Travel safe, stay connected Nidha Narrandes
